Following our collaboration with Wallpaper magazine on the Born in Brazil issue, we were asked to design a bespoke typeface for the Wallpaper Awards 2010 and accompanying issue.

Often the visual communication of award ceremonies use type in a sculptural way, building letters in three dimensions or embossing and bevelling it — not to mention the shine. Premio is a nod to this tradition, but with economy of effects and a set of four cuts that allow for different combinations: a solid base, an outline and its inverted cut and a shadowed variation.
